Delhi metro network running on magenta and pink lines are running on automatic train control systems that don’t have a driver. All the trains are controlled through an Operations Control Centre of Delhi metro that manages the stop and go and all other processes in a train operation as well as signalling. Unattended Train Operations (UTO) and CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) signalling systems are the technologies.

Magenta line run between Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden (Noida) and Pink line between Majlis Park and Shiv Vihar.

This goes on a new way of automation systems that are being deployed on most of the metro systems globally. Delhi metro has now gone on this direction of automating a manual process. The significance of this automation would be reduced rates of human error and increased accuracy.
